so, after the arrival of two cases of cheerwine on my doorstep (hooray for meredith!), followed soon by a six-pack of it straight from hickory, nc (yay for my sister!), i feel the need to amend my previous statement re. the taste of cheerwine. it's not really cherry-flavored ginger ale. it's actually much more like cherry flavored dr. pepper.
but it's still amazing.

Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.

yes, cheerwine is a real drink.
no, it isn't alcoholic.
but it is fabulous. think cherry-flavored ginger ale.
sadly, however, it isn't sold much outside NC and western VA, so my craving for it will, as yet, remain unfulfilled.
